Several days ago, Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd. under Harbin Electric Corporation (hereinafter referred to as HBC) participated in the International Electro-Technical Commission / Solar Thermal Power Station Technical Committee (IEC/TC117) 2021 Annual Meeting (hereinafter referred to as “IEC 2021 Annual Meeting”). The responsible comrade of the Engineering Design Center of HBC delivered an exchange speech. Werner Platzer, chairman of IEC/TC117, and some international experts from the United States, Germany, Spain, Japan, Russia, etc. attended the meeting. China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, Datang New Energy Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., China Energy Construction Engineering Research Institute and other leading domestic organizations or enterprises in the field of new energy participated in the IEC2021 annual meeting.
Founded in 1906, the International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC) is the world''s earliest international electro-technical standardization body, responsible for international standardization in the fields of electrical engineering and electronic engineering. Affected by the global novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the ICE 2021 annual meeting was held in the form of online video conference. This was the first time that HBC made a debut appearance at the IEC 2021 annual meeting. At the meeting, HBC submitted a new international standard proposal, the “Solar Thermal Power Plant - the General Requirements and Test Methods for Steam Generation System”. The proposal was carefully discussed and studied by the experts at the meeting. HBC’s proposal was highly praised by them. At present, HBC’s proposal has passed the review of the Standardization Administration of China and has officially entered the stage of international standard review.
It is reported that with the proposal of the goal of “peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality”, a new development opportunity has come to our country''s new energy industry. As a new type of solar thermal power generation technology, solar thermal power generation possesses both the capabilities of energy storage and peak shaving, and is a new generation of grid-friendly new energy power generation technology. As the “eldest son” of the Republic of China and a leader in power station equipment manufacturing industry in our country, HBC bravely assumes the mission and responsibility of an enterprise under administration of the Central Government, actively implements major strategic decisions and deployments of the party and the country, and plans to deploy new energy and new industries. As early as in 2012, HBC began to carry out technical research related to solar thermal power station. Since 2020, HBC, as the chief editor, working with others, has compiled national standards: GB/T40821-2021 “The Test Specifications for Heat Exchange System of Solar Thermal Power Stations” and “The Technical Requirements for Heat Exchange System of Solar Thermal Power Stations”, which filled the gap in national standard technologies in solar power heat exchange system in our country. They are used to regulate and guide the manufacture and application of heat exchange system products, promote the large-scale application and healthy development of the solar photo-thermal power generation industry, and make positive contributions to the national energy structure adjustment and clean energy construction.
With the solar thermal power generation standards, HBC is on a progress path leading to the world. HBC will actively help our country to develop international solar power market in the “belt and road” area, China-Pakistan economic corridor, Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar economic corridor and some other key areas, strengthen international technical exchanges and cooperation, build both upstream and downstream industrial alliances of solar thermal power generation, and contribute HBC’s wisdom and strength to continuously improve the competitiveness of our country''s solar power industry in international market.
