A few days ago, the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council announced a list of benchmarking enterprises, benchmarking projects and benchmarking modes for the key state-owned enterprises in the management benchmarking setting-up action. Harbin Boiler Co., Ltd. under Harbin Electric Corporation (hereinafter referred to as HBC) was successfully selected and put into the benchmarking enterprise list, having become the only selected enterprise in the list in this the industry. The successful inclusion in the list of benchmarking enterprises this time fully reflects the recognition by the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council to the management level of HBC.  

In recent years, HBC has implemented lean management, vigorously promoted ERP construction, actively sought breakthroughs in industrial transformation and upgrading, and worked hard to invigorate systems and mechanisms, and injected strong impetus into the construction of modern enterprise. At the same time, HBC has carried out an in-depth benchmarking improvement action towards the world first-class management, strengthened management, improved efficiency, promoted reform, and planned innovation, having achieved tangible results. In this benchmarking enterprise election, HBC stood out from many enterprises with its excellent management level and was successfully selected and put into the list through enterprise application, expert review, soliciting opinions and other links.

It is reported that the “three-benchmark” creation action launched by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council aimed at promoting greater effects in benchmarking the world first-class management improvement action, and further exerting the leading role of outstanding enterprises. The range of the selection of benchmarking enterprises this time covers the enterprises that are under direct management of the Central Government, local state-owned key enterprises and those local enterprises that have good operating conditions, outstanding management results, distinctive management characteristics, and high-level management informationization.
